In July 298 patients failed to attend their appointments resulting in over 66 hours of wasted surgery time.  Please ring and cancel your appointment if you are not able to come to the surgery, so your appointment can be used by someone else.

Online Consultations

From Wednesday 13th June you will be able to consult with the surgery online, avoiding telephone calls, delays in getting an appointment and receive a prompt response.

Out of Hours
For urgent medical problems when the surgery is closed you can call NHS 111 on 111.

Extended Opening Hours

We are open on Monday evenings from 6.30 pm until 8.00 pm and Wednesday mornings from 7.00 am to 8.00 am.  Please note these appointments are for patients who are unable to attend during our normal opening hours.

Text Messaging

Missed appointments increase waiting times for all our patients.  To help improve our patient services, we will send you a FREE reminder via text before your appointment.  Should you no longer need your appointment early cancellation will enable us to provide care to another patient.  It couldn't be easier to register - simply provide your mobile phone number and a day or so before your next appointment you will receive a reminder detailing the date and time direct to your mobile phone.  Sign up now!  Never miss another appointment.

 

 

 

When We Are Closed

out_of_hoursOutside normal working hours, when the surgery is closed, medical help is available.

In an emergency phone ambulance control on 999.

For accidents attend A+E at Derriford Hospital. For minor injuries contact MIU (minor injuries unit) at Liskeard Community Hospital or Cumberland Centre.

Messaging Service

Between 6.00pm and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, you can call a messaging service for urgent problems, who will direct you to the right person. After this time and at weekends please see below.

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111. This number is to be used when you need medical help fast, but it is not an emergency. The team has trained advisors and nurses who can help. They will ask questions to find out what help you need.

NHS 111 is free to call from landlines and most mobiles but pay as you go mobiles need to have at least 1p in credit to call.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
