Your doctor

Is the doctor you regularly see different to the doctor you are actually registered with? If so, you can easily re-register with your usual doctor - just ask the Receptionist.

Test Results
Open for enquires Monday-Friday 10-12am & 2-5pm. In order to answer your queries more quickly we have a direct option number to obtain test results.

Out of Hours
For urgent medical problems when the surgery is closed you can call NHS 111 on 111.

Extended Opening Hours

We are open on Monday evenings from 6.30 pm until 8.00 pm and Wednesday mornings from 7.00 am to 8.00 am.  Please note these appointments are for patients who are unable to attend during our normal opening hours.

Text Messaging

Missed appointments increase waiting times for all our patients.  To help improve our patient services, we will send you a FREE reminder via text before your appointment.  Should you no longer need your appointment early cancellation will enable us to provide care to another patient.  It couldn't be easier to register - simply provide your mobile phone number and a day or so before your next appointment you will receive a reminder detailing the date and time direct to your mobile phone.  Sign up now!  Never miss another appointment.

 

Saltash Health Centre has an active Patient Participation Group which is split into two sections.

The Patient Forum provides a means of patients having a say in and about the services provided by Saltash Health Centre, to achieve best possible care experience and facilities for patients. The role of the Patient Forum is as follows:-

 

Help The Practice To Improve Services

 

Provide feedback from patients on any issue relevant or researched

Monitor the accessibility of the practice communications e.g. reception/website/surveys and feedback to practice

Carry out surveys e.g. patients satisfaction/health needs/patient awareness/available information/expectations

Help to obtain patient views on any new builds/services/opening hours etc

 

Providing Information

 

Health education

Promoting special days or health promotions e.g. no-smoking, walk to work, diet advice, diabetes, COPD, long term medical conditions, disability awareness, some cancers etc

Representing the practice when patient voices are needed

Ensuring any information is “user friendly”, available for all and up to date

The Friends of Saltash Health Centre

The Friends of Saltash Health Centre raise funds to provide extra facilities and equipment for the benefit of Health Centre staff and patients.

 

Last year they provided the funds to enable the practice to treat complex leg ulcers in the surgery by purchasing a Doppler machine, examination couch and dressing trolleys.

 

Recently The Friends of Saltash Health Centre have purchased the software to facilitate a patient call display in the waiting room. Important health and service information is displayed on teh screen in between calling patients.
